Charts on Boards → There’s a new shape in the Boards menu! You can choose between Pie, Donut, Bar, Stacked Bar, and Summary chart types and style the chart via the right sidebar properties when a chart is selected. Charts work the same as Dynamic Text - choose a View and Source and they update automatically as your model changes
Dynamic Text and Chart scope → Dynamic Text and Charts have a “Scope” property which lets you choose which sites/buildings are included in the metrics
Sheet sets update → You can now launch a sheet set in 1 click with the new button found beside the Share button on Boards. Sheet sets have been simplified - there is now just 1 sheet set per board. You can choose to exclude sheets from the set by selecting a sheet and unchecking the “Include in sheet set” checkbox, and sheets can be reordered in the sheet set viewer by clicking and dragging the sheets in the left sidebar.
New sheet set button
Comments on boards and sheet sets → Click the button in the toolbar or hotkey “ctrl/cmd” + “c” to enter the comment tool. Comments support attachments, mentions (mentioned person gets an email), emoji reactions, unread/read status, and can be resolved. Comments created on sheet sets are shown on the sheet on the board, but comments created on boards are not shown in the sheet set.
Text box resizing on boards → Text on boards now has a “Resizing” property with 3 options - auto width/height, auto height, or fixed.
Image button on boards → You could always drag images into Boards, but now there is a button in the menu as well
Copy/paste behavior in Boards → If you copy an element on a sheet and paste it on another sheet it will maintain the same relative sheet position. You can now also copy/paste from the browser (eg. Google images)
You can now select all elements on a Board with “cmd/ctrl” + “a”
New view save/reset buttons - We’ve updated the icon and text to make the view management buttons more clear
Function and Area Type section headers → Previously when you assigned a Function or Area Type to an element the headers went away. Now they stay, and the assigned Function/Area Type is shown as a button to more clearly indicate that it can be clicked and changed.
Site context feels even faster! → Context is now loaded incrementally, making it feel faster and telling you right away that things are working as expected. You won’t notice much on smaller context, but it’s very noticeable on large dense contexts like the gif below (2mi of NYC)
